Sunset on the Beach in Bucerias

Bucerías completely stole our hearts. This charming beach town on Mexico’s Riviera Nayarit has that perfect mix of laid-back vibes, incredible food, and stunning ocean views. It’s the kind of place where you can slow down, soak up the sunshine, and just enjoy life.

First off — the beach. It stretches for miles, with soft golden sand and warm, gentle waves. We spent hours walking along the shore, collecting seashells, and watching the sunset paint the sky in shades of pink and orange. The beach isn’t crowded, so it feels peaceful and almost private — perfect for a morning stroll or an evening margarita with your toes in the sand.

Bucerías also has a surprisingly great food scene. From beachfront seafood shacks to cute family-run taquerias, every meal was a hit. We loved the fresh ceviche, fish tacos, and of course, the guacamole — it’s true that it tastes better in Mexico! The coffee scene is just as impressive. We found cozy coffee shops with rich, flavorful espresso and homemade pastries. Sitting with a coffee and watching the world go by became part of our daily routine.

The town itself has a fun, artsy vibe with lots of cute boutiques and local markets. We spent afternoons wandering through shops filled with colorful pottery, handmade jewelry, and beautiful textiles. The local artisans are so talented, and we couldn’t resist bringing home a few treasures.

Bucerías feels like a secret you almost don’t want to share — quiet enough to feel special but lively enough to keep you entertained. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to extend your stay… or start planning your next trip before you’ve even left.
